Senior Lecturer in Contemporary British Painting and Development Manager – Liverpool
Senior Lecturer in Contemporary British Painting and Development Manager in Partnership with John Moores Painting Prize (JMPP).
The purpose of this academic role is to lead the development of the JMPP, exhibition and archive in collaboration with JMLET, NML and Shanghai University.
Located within the School of Art & Design at Liverpool John Moores University, and reporting to the Professor of Exhibition Studies, the post-holder will draw upon their critical interest in contemporary British painting together with their professional experience in arts management to raise the profile of the John Moores Painting Prize and devise a programme of academic engagement and study to advance the profile of the Prize internationally. The postholder will also contribute to the research, organisation and running of the Exhibition Research Lab in the school ART LABS Research Centre.
The post-holder will be an employee of the University and guided by the LJMU strategic framework. Additionally, the role will be informed by the principles and guidance of the John Moores Liverpool Exhibition Trust (JMLET) as the patrons of the Prize.
